Committees

Executive Leadership Committee is comprised of the Chairperson or the Council, Vice-chair, Co-Secretaries and Co-chairs of the committees. They are charged with meeting prior to all business meetings of the Council and at other times as necessary. They act in an advisory capacity and have general supervision responsibilities of the Council. The Executive Leadership committee provides oversight, monitors committee work plans and activities; and reviews emerging issues and subsequent activities. The Executive Leadership committee reports at each meeting of the Council on any actions it has taken between meetings. They also set agenda’s for the full Council meetings and run those meetings. They recruit new members, attend the National Coalition of State Rehabilitation Councils meetings, and keep the focus of the Council on its required duties.



The Membership Training Committee is charged with interviewing potential candidates for the Council, orientation, and training of new members. It is also responsible for disseminating training materials, planning an annual training event, and establishing and maintaining a mentoring program for new members for their first year on the Council.



State Plan, Policy & Quality Assurance Committee is Charged with the review and comment on the Office of Rehabilitation Services policies and annual State Plan updates; ORS State Plan development and compliance reviews, including the resource plan; work with ORS regarding policy and implementation of Order of Selection; to review and analyze the scope and effectiveness of consumer satisfaction with the Office of Rehabilitation Services, via a Statewide Consumer Satisfaction Survey of individuals with disabilities. Meets prior to all business meetings of the Council and at other times as necessary. It acts in an advisory capacity and has general supervision responsibilities of the Council. It provides oversight, monitors committee work plans and activities; and reviews emerging issues and subsequent activities. The Executive Committee reports at each meeting of the Council on any actions it has taken between meetings. It is composed of the Chair, Vice Chair and Committee Co-Chairs.
